Yelp

Yelp's Places API (still called Fusion in many places, and served from api.yelp.com/v3) is read access to Yelp's local-business data: search by place and keyword, look a business up by phone or by exact address, read its profile and review excerpts, and browse categories and local events.

Authentication

  • API key

Actions

Generic API request. Call any Yelp API endpoint on this connection, for the case where no shipped action covers it yet. The connection supplies the base URL, the authentication and the egress route, so only the path, query and body are yours to fill.

  • Autocomplete (v1)Turn partial text into Yelp suggestions - search keywords, matching businesses and categories - e.g. to normalise what a user typed before running Search businesses.
  • Get business (v1)Read the full Yelp profile of one business - hours, photos, attributes, price, rating and whether it is claimed - when a search result is not enough.
  • Get business reviews (v1)Read review excerpts for one business in Yelp's default order, e.g. to monitor what customers say about a location or feed sentiment analysis.
  • Get category (v1)Read one Yelp category by alias - its localized title, parent categories and the countries it is available in - e.g. to check a filter is valid for a market before searching.
  • Get featured event (v1)Read the single event Yelp's community managers feature for an area, e.g. for a "this week near you" highlight.
  • List categories (v1)List Yelp's business-category taxonomy, to find the alias a search filter needs (Search businesses takes aliases such as discgolf, not titles).
  • Match business (v1)Resolve a business you already know by exact name and address - from a CRM, a store list or a spreadsheet - to its Yelp listing.
  • Search businesses (v1)Find businesses on Yelp near a place, by keyword, category, price and opening hours - the starting point for any local-business lookup, and where business ids come from.
  • Search businesses by phone (v1)Find the Yelp business behind a phone number, e.g. to enrich a lead or a CRM record you only have a number for.
  • Search events (v1)Find Yelp events near a place - by date window, event category and price - e.g. to build a local listings feed.
