Vonage (formerly Nexmo) sends SMS over its REST API and rents the phone numbers you send from.

Generic API request. Call any Vonage API endpoint on this connection, for the case where no shipped action covers it yet. The connection supplies the base URL, the authentication and the egress route, so only the path, query and body are yours to fill.

  • Get account balanceCheck how much credit is left on the Vonage account — the pre-flight to run before a send, since vonage:sendsms draws down this same balance.
  • Get outbound pricingRetrieve outbound SMS/voice pricing for a country (GET /account/get-pricing/outbound).
  • List owned numbersList the phone numbers owned by the account (GET /account/numbers).
  • Search available numbersSearch for available phone numbers to buy (GET /number/search).
  • Send SMSSend an SMS through Vonage from an alphanumeric sender id or a number you own; both from and to are E.164 without the leading plus.

Triggers

  • Message received (webhook)Starts the moment a text message arrives on one of the account's Vonage numbers, delivered by Vonage's inbound SMS webhook.
  • Texts to your numberAnswers as an agent by SMS: when someone texts one of the account's Vonage numbers, the agent replies to them from that number.
