2Chat

2Chat puts a programmable API in front of WhatsApp numbers you already own — you link a phone by scanning a QR code, and from then on 2Chat can send and read its messages — plus SMS numbers you rent from 2Chat itself.

Generic API request. Call any 2Chat API endpoint on this connection, for the case where no shipped action covers it yet. The connection supplies the base URL, the authentication and the egress route, so only the path, query and body are yours to fill.

  • Check number on WhatsAppCheck whether a phone number is a valid, WhatsApp-reachable number before you try to message it, and read back its country, region and — optionally — its WhatsApp business profile.
  • Create contactAdd a contact to the 2Chat address book with one or more typed detail rows — a WhatsApp number, a plain phone number, an email address or a postal address.
  • Delete webhookDestructiveRemove one 2Chat webhook subscription so the account stops posting that event to its callback URL.

Triggers

  • Message receivedStarts when a connected WhatsApp number receives a one-to-one message — text, media, an order or a reply quoting an earlier message.
  • Messages to the numberAnswers as an agent on WhatsApp through 2Chat: when someone messages the connected number one-to-one, the agent replies in that chat.
