Communication

Twist

Twist is Doist's team communication app: conversation lives in threads inside channels, in a workspace, rather than in a real-time chat river.

Authentication

  • API key

Actions

Generic API request. Call any Twist API endpoint on this connection, for the case where no shipped action covers it yet. The connection supplies the base URL, the authentication and the egress route, so only the path, query and body are yours to fill.

  • Add commentReply in a Twist thread: add a comment to it as the connected user.
  • Add conversation messageSend a message in a Twist conversation — a direct message between people — as the connected user.
  • Get session userIdentify who this Twist connection authenticates as — the whoami call to run before acting on a user's behalf, and the source of the defaultworkspace id when you need a workspace to work in.
  • Get workspace userGet one member of a Twist workspace by user id - their name, email, user type (USER, ADMIN or GUEST) and the removed, bot, restricted and setup-pending flags.
  • List workspacesList the authenticated user's Twist workspaces (GET workspaces/get).

Triggers

  • Comment or message added (webhook)Starts when someone comments on a Twist thread or sends a message in a Twist conversation the connected user can see, delivered by webhooks the platform registers.
  • Comments and messages to the userAnswers as an agent in Twist: when someone mentions the connected user in a thread comment, replies in a thread the agent is already in, or sends it a direct message, the agent replies there.
  • New threadStarts when a new thread is posted in the selected channel of the connected Twist workspace.
  • Thread added (webhook)Starts when Twist delivers a threadadded outgoing webhook event for a channel in the connected workspace.
