Authentication

  • API token
  • OAuth 2.0

Actions

Generic API request. Call any Todoist API endpoint on this connection, for the case where no shipped action covers it yet. The connection supplies the base URL, the authentication and the egress route, so only the path, query and body are yours to fill.

  • Close taskDestructiveClose (complete) a task (POST /tasks/{id}/close).
  • Create commentPost a comment onto an existing Todoist task, for example to leave context or a hand-off note.
  • Create projectCreate a new project (POST /projects, application/json).
  • Create taskCreate a new task (POST /tasks, application/json).
  • Delete taskDestructiveDelete a task (DELETE /tasks/{id}).
  • Get projectRead one Todoist project by id, normally taken from todoist:listprojects, to confirm its name before creating tasks in it.
  • Get taskRead one active Todoist task by id — the check to run before updating, closing or commenting on it, since it reports the task's current content, project and priority.
  • List labelsList the personal labels defined on the connected Todoist account — the way to discover which label names already exist before applying them to a task.
  • List projectsList every project on the connected Todoist account — the discovery step for a project id to pass to todoist:createtask, :listtasks or :getproject.
  • List sectionsList sections, optionally filtered to a single project (GET /sections).
  • List tasksList active (incomplete) tasks, optionally filtered by project, section, label, or a Todoist filter query (GET /tasks).
  • Reopen taskDestructiveReopen (un-complete) a task (POST /tasks/{id}/reopen).
  • Update taskDestructiveUpdate an existing task (POST /tasks/{id}, application/json).

Triggers

  • New or updated projectStarts when a project is created or renamed/recolored in Todoist.
