Smartsheet is a spreadsheet-shaped work platform: sheets of rows and typed columns, grouped into workspaces.

Actions

Generic API request. Call any Smartsheet API endpoint on this connection, for the case where no shipped action covers it yet. The connection supplies the base URL, the authentication and the egress route, so only the path, query and body are yours to fill.

  • Add rowsAdd one or more rows to a sheet (POST /sheets/{sheetId}/rows).
  • Create sheetCreate a new sheet from scratch with a name and column definitions (POST /sheets, application/json).
  • Delete rowsDestructiveDelete one or more rows from a sheet (DELETE /sheets/{sheetId}/rows).
  • Delete sheetDestructivePermanently delete a whole sheet and everything in it, addressed by its numeric sheet id.
  • Get rowRead one row from a sheet, addressed by sheet id plus row id - both numeric and both large, so keep them as strings.
  • Get sheetRetrieve a single sheet, including its rows and columns (GET /sheets/{sheetId}).
  • List columnsList a sheet's column definitions - the map from numeric columnId to a human heading, which is what makes a row's cells array readable.
  • List sheetsList the sheets the authenticated user has access to (GET /sheets).
  • List workspacesList the Smartsheet workspaces the authenticated user can access, to resolve a workspace name to the numeric id that sheet and folder actions take.
  • SearchSearch across all sheets the user can access (GET /search?query=...).
  • Update rowsDestructiveUpdate one or more existing rows in a sheet (PUT /sheets/{sheetId}/rows).

Triggers

  • New or updated sheetStarts when a Smartsheet sheet is created or modified.
  • New row (webhook)Starts when a row is added to a watched Smartsheet sheet, delivered by a webhook instead of polling the sheet.
