Generic API request. Call any Rocket.Chat API endpoint on this connection, for the case where no shipped action covers it yet. The connection supplies the base URL, the authentication and the egress route, so only the path, query and body are yours to fill.

  • Get meRetrieve the authenticated Rocket.Chat user's own profile (GET me).
  • Get user infoGet one Rocket.Chat user by one identifier (user id, username, import id, email or VoIP extension) - their username, type, active and federated flags, and, when the token's user may see them (the view-full-other-user-info permission, held by admins by default), their emails with a verified flag and their roles.
  • List channelsList the public channels on the Rocket.Chat workspace, to resolve a channel name to the room id that Post message and other room actions take.
  • List usersList the users on the Rocket.Chat workspace, to turn a username or email into the user id that direct-message and admin actions take.
  • Send messagePost a message as the connected user into a channel, a private group or a direct message — by room id, or by #channel or @username.

  • Message posted (webhook)Starts when a message is posted where a Rocket.Chat outgoing webhook integration listens — a channel, a private group, the direct messages of one user, or all of a kind — delivered by a webhook the platform registers.
  • Messages to the userAnswers as an agent in Rocket.Chat: when someone sends the connected user a direct message, mentions it in a channel, or replies in a thread the agent is already in, the agent replies there.
  • New or updated channelStarts when a channel is created or its settings change in the connected Rocket.Chat workspace.
  • New or updated userStarts when a user is created or updated in the connected Rocket.Chat workspace.
  • Omnichannel message sentStarts when a visitor or an agent sends a message in a Rocket.Chat Omnichannel Livechat conversation, delivered through the Omnichannel event webhook.
