PrintNode

PrintNode connects cloud services to real printers: a small client runs on a computer near the printer, and the API lets you list which computers and printers are online and submit print jobs.

Authentication

  • API key

Actions

Generic API request. Call any PrintNode API endpoint on this connection, for the case where no shipped action covers it yet. The connection supplies the base URL, the authentication and the egress route, so only the path and query are yours to fill.

  • Get account identityReturn the PrintNode account and API-key identity for the authenticated connection (GET /whoami).
  • List computersList the PrintNode computers registered under the account, each with its id, name and state (connected/disconnected) - use it to resolve a machine name to the computer id that printer lookups are scoped by.
  • List printersList the printers PrintNode can reach for the account, each with its id, name, state (online/offline) and default flag - the usual way to resolve a printer name to the id that Create print job takes.

Triggers

  • New computerStarts when a new computer running the PrintNode client registers on the connected account.
  • New print jobStarts when a print job is submitted on the account, detected by polling GET printjobs with the after/dir id cursor.
  • New printerStarts when a new printer is registered on the connected PrintNode account.
