Plivo is a cloud communications platform: SMS, MMS and voice traffic on phone numbers you rent from it.

Generic API request. Call any Plivo API endpoint on this connection, for the case where no shipped action covers it yet. The connection supplies the base URL, the authentication and the egress route, so only the path, query and body are yours to fill.

  • Get messageRead one Plivo message by its UUID to find out whether it reached the handset — the follow-up to a send or a delivery callback.
  • List callsList the call detail records on the connected Plivo account, for a call log or a billing reconciliation.
  • List messagesList sent and received SMS/MMS messages on the account (GET /Account/{authId}/Message/).
  • List numbersList phone numbers rented to the account (GET /Account/{authId}/Number/).
  • Send messageSend an SMS, an MMS, or a free-form WhatsApp text from a Plivo number (src) or a Powerpack's number pool (powerpackUuid) — supply one of the two.

Triggers

  • Call completedStarts when a call in the connected Plivo account finishes, tracked by the call detail record's endtime timestamp.
  • Call hung up (webhook)Starts the moment a call in the connected Plivo account ends, delivered by a webhook instead of polling the call detail record list.
  • Message received (webhook)Starts the instant an SMS or MMS message arrives on a connected Plivo number, delivered by a webhook instead of polling the message list.
  • Messages to the numberAnswers as an agent by text: when someone sends an SMS or a WhatsApp message to a Plivo number, the agent replies to them from that number.
  • New messageStarts when a new SMS or MMS message is sent or received through Plivo.
