Communication

Nylas

Nylas is an email, calendar and contacts API.

Authentication

  • API key

Actions

Generic API request. Call any Nylas API endpoint on this connection, for the case where no shipped action covers it yet. The connection supplies the base URL, the authentication and the egress route, so only the path, query and body are yours to fill.

  • Cancel notetakerDestructiveCall off a Notetaker before it is in the meeting — while it is scheduled, connecting or waiting to be admitted.
  • Delete notetakerDestructivePermanently delete a Notetaker in any state together with all of its media — recording, transcript, summary, action items and thumbnail.
  • Get notetakerRead one Notetaker: its state, meeting link and provider, join time and settings.
  • Get notetaker historyRead a Notetaker's event history, newest first — every created, updated, meetingstate, media and deleted event with the bot's state at that moment.
  • Get notetaker mediaGet download links for a Notetaker's files once its media is available: the recording (MP4, or MP3 when audio only), a thumbnail, the speaker-labelled transcript, and the AI summary and action items when they were requested.
  • Invite notetakerSend a Nylas Notetaker bot to a Google Meet, Microsoft Teams or Zoom meeting to record it and, when asked, transcribe it and produce an AI summary and action items.
  • List calendarsList the calendars one connected account can see, with each one's name, whether it is the primary calendar, whether the account owns it and whether it is read-only.
  • List connectorsList the auth connectors (provider integrations) configured on the Nylas application (GET /connectors).
  • List grantsList the connected grants (end-user accounts) for the Nylas application (GET /grants).
  • List notetaker configurationsList the application's saved Notetaker configurations — reusable notetakersettings defaults at application, workspace or grant scope — with each one's settings, deduplication policy and any dispatch pause.
  • List notetakersList Notetaker bots — one connected account's, or the application's standalone ones — with each bot's state, so one call shows which are waiting to join, recording or finished.
  • List webhooksList the webhook destinations registered on the Nylas application (GET /webhooks).
  • Remove notetaker from meetingDestructiveMake an attending Notetaker leave the meeting now.
  • Send messageSend an email from one connected grant's mailbox through its provider (Google, Microsoft, IMAP, …).
  • Set calendar notetaker rulesDestructiveTurn on calendar sync for one connected calendar: Nylas then schedules, reschedules and cancels Notetakers for the events matching your rules as the calendar changes, each starting the notetaker webhooks like an invited bot.
  • Update notetakerDestructiveChange a scheduled Notetaker before it joins: move its join time, point it at another configuration, or change what it records and produces.

Triggers

  • Email to a mailboxAnswers as an agent by email: when a message arrives in the chosen grant's mailbox, the agent replies to its sender in the same thread.
  • New grantStarts when a new grant (connected mailbox or calendar account) is added to the connected Nylas application.
  • New grant (webhook)Starts when a new grant (connected mailbox or calendar account) is added to the connected Nylas application, delivered by a webhook instead of polling the grant list.
  • New message (webhook)Starts when a message is created in any grant's mailbox on the connected Nylas application — received, sent or synced — delivered by a webhook.
  • New or updated webhook destinationStarts when a webhook destination is registered or its configuration changes on the connected Nylas application.
  • Notetaker createdStarts when a Notetaker bot is invited or scheduled on the connected Nylas application — by an invite request, calendar sync or a Scheduler booking (notetaker.created).
  • Notetaker deletedStarts when a Notetaker is cancelled or deleted, or calendar sync drops it because its event was cancelled or no longer matches the calendar's rules (notetaker.deleted).
  • Notetaker media status changedStarts when a Notetaker's recording, transcript, summary or action items change status — processing, available with signed download links valid for 60 minutes, failed, or deleted at the end of the retention window (notetaker.media).
  • Notetaker meeting state changedStarts when a Notetaker moves through a meeting — connecting, waiting to be admitted, recording, disconnected, or failing to get in — with the specific reason in meetingstate (notetaker.meetingstate).
  • Notetaker updatedStarts when a scheduled Notetaker's settings or join time change before it joins — by an update request, or by calendar sync following a moved event (notetaker.updated).
