Communication

Novu

Novu is notification infrastructure: you author a workflow in Novu that fans one event out to email, SMS, push, chat or an in-app inbox, and you trigger it by name for a subscriber you registered.

Authentication

  • API key

Actions

Generic API request. Call any Novu API endpoint on this connection, for the case where no shipped action covers it yet. The connection supplies the base URL, the authentication and the egress route, so only the path, query and body are yours to fill.

  • Create subscriberRegister a recipient with Novu so later notification triggers can address them by your own identifier rather than by channel details.
  • Get subscriberRead one Novu subscriber's profile by the subscriberId you registered them under — use it to confirm a recipient exists, or to check which channel details Novu holds, before triggering a notification.
  • List notificationsList notifications from the activity feed with paging (GET /notifications).
  • List subscribersList subscribers on the Novu account with paging (GET /subscribers).
  • List topicsList topics on the Novu account with paging (GET /topics).
  • Trigger eventDestructiveTrigger a notification workflow for one or more recipients (POST /events/trigger, JSON body).

Triggers

  • New message sent (webhook)Starts the instant Novu sends a message to a delivery provider on behalf of the connected environment, delivered by a webhook instead of polling the notification list.
  • New notificationStarts when a new notification event is triggered in the connected Novu environment.
