Actions
Generic API request. Call any Notion API endpoint on this connection, for the case where no shipped action covers it yet. The connection supplies the base URL, the authentication and the egress route, so only the path, query and body are yours to fill.
- Append block childrenAdd content to a Notion page or block by appending child blocks to it — this is how text, headings, lists and embeds get written, since Notion has no plain body field.
- Create commentCreate a comment on a page or in an existing discussion (POST /comments, application/json).
- Create databaseCreate a Notion database under a parent page (POST /databases, application/json).
- Create pageCreate a Notion page under a parent page or database (POST /pages, application/json).
- Delete blockDestructiveRemove a block from a Notion page.
- Get blockRead one Notion block to discover its type before deciding how to handle it — a block's real content lives in a type-named sub-object (paragraph, heading2, …), so the type is what tells you where to look.
- Get block childrenList the child blocks of a block or page (GET /blocks/{id}/children).
- Get databaseRead one Notion database's schema and metadata — the step before querying it, since a database's property names and types are what a filter or a page-create must match.
- Get pageRead one Notion page's metadata and property values — use it to resolve a stored page id back to its title and field values, or to re-read a page after an update.
- Get userRead one Notion workspace member by id — typically to turn a user id found on a page's createdby or a people property into a display name.
- List commentsList unresolved comments on a block or page (GET /comments?blockid=...).
- List usersList the members of the Notion workspace the integration is installed in, so a people property can be populated or a page attributed to a person.
- Query databaseQuery the rows (pages) of a Notion database (POST /databases/{id}/query).
- SearchSearch pages and databases shared with the integration (POST /search).
- Update blockDestructiveUpdate a Notion block's content or archived state (PATCH /blocks/{id}, application/json).
- Update databaseDestructiveUpdate a Notion database's title or schema (PATCH /databases/{id}, application/json).
- Update pageDestructiveUpdate a Notion page's properties, archived state, icon, or cover (PATCH /pages/{id}, application/json).
