NetDocuments

NetDocuments is a cloud document management system used mostly by law firms: documents and folders live in cabinets, and each document carries a profile — client, matter, document type — alongside its content.

Actions

Generic API request. Call any NetDocuments REST API endpoint (v1 or v2) on this connection, for the case where no shipped action covers it yet. The connection supplies the regional host, the authentication and the egress route, so only the path, query and body are yours to fill.

  • Create folderCreate a NetDocuments folder, either at the top of a cabinet or inside an existing folder or workspace.
  • Download documentDownload the content of a NetDocuments document's official version.
  • Get cabinetGet one NetDocuments cabinet's information — its name, the repository it belongs to and the profile attributes that define its workspaces.
  • Get current userGet the NetDocuments user this connection signs in as: display name, email, user id, organization, whether they belong to the repository, and their primary cabinet.
  • Get document profileGet a NetDocuments document's profile: its standard attributes (name, extension, size, version counts, who created and last modified it), its cabinet-defined profile attributes such as client and matter, where it lives and the signed-in user's rights on it.
  • Get folderGet a NetDocuments folder's profile — its name, id, who created and last modified it, its cabinet- defined profile attributes, where it lives and the signed-in user's rights on it.
  • List cabinetsList every NetDocuments cabinet the signed-in user can open, with each cabinet's id, name and the repository it belongs to.
  • List folder contentsList what is filed in a NetDocuments folder — its documents and its subfolders (rows whose extension is ndfld) — each with its standard profile attributes.
  • Search documentsSearch one NetDocuments cabinet with the same query language as the NetDocuments search box, and get back each matching document's or folder's standard profile (id, name, extension, size, created and modified).
  • Update document profileDestructiveRename a NetDocuments document and/or set its cabinet-defined profile attributes (client, matter, document type, …) without touching its content.
