Microsoft Graph

Microsoft Graph is the one API in front of Microsoft 365 — Outlook mail and calendar, OneDrive files, Teams, and the Entra ID directory.

Authentication

  • OAuth 2.0

Actions

Generic API request. Call any Microsoft Graph API endpoint on this connection, for the case where no shipped action covers it yet. The connection supplies the base URL, the authentication and the egress route, so only the path, query and body are yours to fill.

  • Create draftCreate a draft mail message (POST /me/messages).
  • Create drive folderCreate a folder in the OneDrive root (POST /me/drive/root/children).
  • Create eventCreate a calendar event for the signed-in user (POST /me/events).
  • Create groupCreate a Microsoft 365 / security group (POST /groups).
  • Create userProvision a new directory user (POST /users).
  • Delete eventDestructiveCancel/delete a calendar event (DELETE /me/events/{eventId}).
  • Delete userDestructiveDeprovision a directory user (DELETE /users/{userId}).
  • Get drive itemRead the metadata of one file or folder in the signed-in user's OneDrive — use it to confirm an item still exists, or to recover its name from a stored id.
  • Get messageRead a single mail message of the signed-in user (GET /me/messages/{messageId}).
  • Get my profileRead the profile of the user this connection is authenticated as — the cheapest way to confirm which identity a Microsoft Graph connection actually resolves to.
  • Get userGet a single directory user by id or userPrincipalName (GET /users/{userId}).
  • List channelsList the channels inside one Microsoft Teams team so a later read or post can be addressed by channel id.
  • List drive root itemsList items in the root of the signed-in user's OneDrive (GET /me/drive/root/children).
  • List eventsList the signed-in user's calendar events (GET /me/events) with optional OData $select/$top.
  • List groupsList Microsoft 365 / security groups (GET /groups) with optional OData $select/$top/$filter.
  • List joined teamsList the Microsoft Teams the signed-in user has joined (GET /me/joinedTeams).
  • List mail foldersList the signed-in user's mail folders (GET /me/mailFolders) with optional OData $top/$select.
  • List messagesList the signed-in user's mail messages (GET /me/messages) with optional OData $select/$top/$filter.
  • List usersList users in the directory (GET /users) with optional OData $select/$top/$filter.
  • Move messageDestructiveMove a mail message to a folder (POST /me/messages/{messageId}/move).
  • Reply to mailReply to the sender of a mail message, in its thread — Graph addresses the reply to the original's Reply-To recipients when it has them, else to its sender, and saves it in Sent Items.
  • Send channel messagePost a message to a team channel (POST /teams/{teamId}/channels/{channelId}/messages).
  • Send mailSend a mail message as the signed-in user (POST /me/sendMail).
  • Update eventDestructiveReschedule or edit a calendar event (PATCH /me/events/{eventId}).
  • Update userDestructiveEdit attributes of a directory user (PATCH /users/{userId}).
  • Upload fileUpload a small file's content to OneDrive (PUT /me/drive/root:/{path}:/content).

Triggers

  • Calendar event changed (webhook)Starts when a calendar event on the signed-in user's default calendar is created, updated, or deleted, delivered by a Microsoft Graph change notification instead of polling the event list.
  • Drive item changed (webhook)Starts when a file or folder in the signed-in user's OneDrive root is created, updated, or deleted, delivered by a Microsoft Graph change notification instead of polling the drive.
  • Email to the mailboxAnswers as an agent by Outlook email: when a message arrives in the connected mailbox's Inbox, the agent replies to its sender in the same conversation.
  • Message changed (webhook)Starts when a message in the signed-in user's mailbox is created, updated, or deleted, delivered by a Microsoft Graph change notification instead of polling the message list.
