Linear
Linear is an issue tracker for software teams — issues, projects, teams, workflow states.
Authentication
- API key
- OAuth 2.0
Actions
Generic API request. Run any Linear GraphQL query or mutation on this connection, for the case where no shipped action covers it yet. The connection supplies the endpoint, the authentication and the egress route, so only the document and its variables are yours to fill.
- Archive issueDestructiveArchive a Linear issue by id, taking it out of the active board without deleting it.
- Create commentAdd a comment to an issue (commentCreate).
- Create issueFile a new issue in Linear.
- Create projectCreate a Linear project to group issues across one or more teams.
- Get issueFetch one Linear issue by its UUID or its ENG-123 identifier, to read it in full before commenting on it or updating it: description, state (name and type), assignee, priority, dueDate, cycle, project, labels and the issues it blocks or is blocked by.
- Get userFetch one member of the Linear workspace by id - their name, email, and whether they are active, a guest or an app - with the workspace they belong to.
- Get viewerFetch the authenticated user (viewer) for the connection.
- List cyclesList one Linear team's cycles, to find the current, next or a numbered cycle and its dates before reporting on it; a CycleFilter such as isActive narrows the list.
- List issue commentsRead the comments on one Linear issue, to report what its discussion says or to check a comment was posted.
- List issuesFind Linear issues with an IssueFilter, one page at a time, to report status or to resolve an issue's UUID.
- List projectsBrowse the projects in the Linear workspace, to resolve a project id or to review what is in flight.
- List teamsList the teams visible to the connection.
- List usersList the workspace users visible to the connection.
- List workflow statesList one Linear team's workflow states (Todo, In Progress, Done, ...) to resolve the stateId that moves an issue.
- Update issueDestructiveChange fields on an existing Linear issue, such as its title, description, workflow state or priority: put the changes in the input object, which is a Linear IssueUpdateInput.
Triggers
- Comment created (webhook)Starts the instant a new comment is posted on a Linear issue, delivered by a webhook instead of waiting for the next poll.
- Issue commentsAnswers as an agent on Linear issues: when someone mentions the connection's user in a comment — or, if you choose, assigns them an issue or opens any issue — the agent replies in the issue's comments, and later comments on that issue continue the conversation.
- Issue created (webhook)Starts the instant a new Linear issue is created, delivered by a webhook instead of waiting for the next poll.
- New or updated issueStarts when an issue is created or its title, state, or other fields change in Linear.
- New or updated projectStarts when a project is created or its details change in the connected Linear workspace.
- New or updated teamStarts when a team is created or its settings change in the connected Linear workspace.
- New or updated userStarts when a workspace member is added or their profile changes in the connected Linear workspace.
