Google Workspace Events

Google Workspace Events is the modern push mechanism for Chat, Meet and Drive: you create a subscription over a resource and Google publishes events about it.

Authentication

  • OAuth 2.0

Actions

Generic API request. Call any Google Workspace Events API endpoint on this connection, for the case where no shipped action covers it yet. The connection supplies the base URL, the authentication and the egress route, so only the path, query and body are yours to fill.

  • Create subscriptionStart watching a Google Workspace resource — a Chat space, a Meet space, or a Drive file, folder or shared drive — so Google publishes an event every time the chosen things happen to it.
  • Delete subscriptionDestructiveStop watching a Google Workspace resource — deleting the subscription ends delivery to its Cloud Pub/Sub topic.
  • Get operationPoll a long-running operation returned by one of the subscription actions.
  • Get subscriptionRead one Google Workspace event subscription in full: what it watches, which event types it delivers, the Cloud Pub/Sub topic it publishes to, when it expires, and whether it is ACTIVE or SUSPENDED.
  • List subscriptionsFind the Google Workspace event subscriptions the connected account authorized — which Chat spaces, Meet spaces or Drive items are being watched, which event types each one delivers, and whether it is still ACTIVE or has been SUSPENDED.
  • Reactivate subscriptionDestructiveBring a suspended Google Workspace event subscription back to life, resetting its state to ACTIVE so it resumes publishing to its Cloud Pub/Sub topic.
  • Update or renew subscriptionDestructiveRenew a Google Workspace event subscription before it lapses, or change which event types it delivers.
