Google Tasks

Google Tasks is the to-do list built into Gmail, Google Calendar and the Tasks mobile apps: a Google account holds task lists, and each list holds tasks with a title, notes, a due date and subtasks.

  • OAuth 2.0

Actions

Generic API request. Call any Google Tasks API endpoint on this connection, for the case where no shipped action covers it yet. The connection supplies the base URL, the authentication and the egress route, so only the path, query and body are yours to fill.

  • Clear completed tasksDestructiveHide every completed task in a task list — the same action as 'Delete all completed tasks' in the Tasks apps.
  • Create taskAdd a task to a task list.
  • Create task listCreate a new task list in the connected account.
  • Delete taskDestructiveDelete a task from its list.
  • Delete task listDestructiveDelete a task list and every task it holds.
  • Get taskRead one task by id, which is how you get its notes, due date, position and parent — googletasks:listtasks already returns the same shape, so reach for this when you hold an id from an earlier write and want its current state.
  • Get task listRead one task list by id, to confirm its title before writing tasks into it or to pick up its current updated timestamp.
  • List task listsEnumerate the task lists in the connected Google account.
  • List tasksRead the tasks in one task list, optionally narrowed by due date, completion date or last modification time.
  • Move taskDestructiveReposition a task: under a different parent, after a different sibling, or into another task list.
  • Patch taskDestructiveUpdate a task with patch semantics: only the fields supplied here are written, the rest are left untouched.
  • Patch task listDestructiveUpdate a task list with patch semantics: only the fields supplied here are written, the rest are left untouched.
  • Update taskDestructiveReplace a task's resource with the values given here (PUT semantics): a writable field you leave out is cleared, so read the task first — or use googletasks:patchtask, which sends only what changed.
  • Update task listDestructiveReplace a task list's resource with the values given here (PUT semantics), which is how you rename a list.
