Google Places

Google Places finds businesses and points of interest from text, from a point and a radius, or from the few letters a person has typed, and returns their address, coordinates, rating, hours and photos.

Actions

Generic API request. Call any Google Places API (New) endpoint on this connection, for the case where no shipped action covers it yet. The connection supplies the base URL, the API key and the egress route, so only the path, query, headers and body are yours to fill.

  • AutocompleteSuggest places (and optionally search queries) for partial text a person is typing, such as "1600 Amphith" or "coffee near".
  • Get photoGet a short-lived image URL for one place photo, scaled to fit the requested width or height.
  • Get place detailsFetch one place's details — address, coordinates, rating, opening hours, phone, website, photos and more, limited to the fields named in fieldMask.
  • Nearby searchFind places of given types inside a circle around a point, for example every cafe within 500 meters of a delivery address.
  • Text searchFind places from a free-text query such as "pizza in New York" or "Eiffel Tower", optionally biased or restricted to an area and filtered by type, rating, price level or opening hours.
