Google Apps Script

Google Apps Script runs JavaScript inside Google Workspace — the code behind a custom Sheets function, a Docs add-on, a scheduled Gmail sweep.

Authentication

  • OAuth 2.0

Actions

Generic API request. Call any Google Apps Script API endpoint on this connection, for the case where no shipped action covers it yet. The connection supplies the base URL, the authentication and the egress route, so only the path, query and body are yours to fill.

  • Create script deploymentShip a saved version of a script as a new deployment.
  • Create script projectCreate an empty Apps Script project owned by the connected Google account.
  • Create script versionFreeze the project's current HEAD (editor) code as a new immutable version — the Apps Script equivalent of cutting a release tag.
  • Delete script deploymentDestructiveUndeploy a script: remove one deployment so its web app URL stops answering and its API executable entry point stops accepting Run script function calls.
  • Get script deploymentRead one deployment of a script project: the version it is pinned to and the entry points it exposes.
  • Get script projectRead one script project's metadata — title, container file, creator, last modifier and timestamps.
  • Get script project contentDownload the source of every file in a script project — the server-side JS, the HTML templates and the appsscript JSON manifest — with the code in each file's source field.
  • Get script project metricsRead usage counts for a script — total executions, failed executions and active users — bucketed daily or weekly, which is what the Apps Script dashboard charts.
  • Get script versionRead one saved version of a script project — its number, its description and when it was cut.
  • List my script processesList executions started by or on behalf of the connected user, across every script they can reach — what the Apps Script dashboard's Executions page shows.
  • List script deploymentsList a script project's deployments with the version each one is pinned to and the entry points it exposes — web app URL, API executable, or add-on.
  • List script processesList the executions of one script project — every run of it the caller can see, whoever started them.
  • List script versionsList the saved versions of a script project, newest number last, with each version's description and creation time.
  • Run script functionDestructiveCall a function inside a deployed Apps Script project and get its return value back, synchronously — the way to reach Google Workspace logic that has no REST API of its own.
  • Update script deploymentDestructiveRepoint an existing deployment at a different saved version — the promote and roll-back step, and the reason a web app URL can stay stable across releases.
  • Update script project contentDestructivePush source files into a script project.
