Low-Code

Glide

Glide is a no-code app builder, and Big Tables are its own hosted database — the only data source its v2 API touches.

Authentication

  • API key

Actions

Generic API request. Call any Glide API endpoint on this connection, for the case where no shipped action covers it yet. The connection supplies the base URL, the authentication and the egress route, so only the method, path, query, headers and body are yours to fill.

  • Add rowsAppend rows to an existing Big Table and get their new row ids back in body.data.rowIDs[], in the same order as the rows that were sent — which is how a workflow keeps a handle on what it just wrote.
  • Complete uploadDestructiveFinalize an upload started by glide:createupload and get the file's public URL in body.data.url — the value you then write into a Glide image, audio or file column with glide:addrows or glide:updaterow.
  • Create tableCreate a new Big Table in the connection's team, optionally with a schema and initial rows, and get back its id in body.data.tableID plus the row ids in body.data.rowIDs[].
  • Create uploadOpen an upload session for a file and get back a pre-signed uploadLocation to write the bytes to.
  • Delete rowDestructiveRemove one row from a Big Table permanently — there is no undo and no archive behind it.
  • Delete stashDestructiveDiscard a stash and every chunk in it, permanently.
  • Get job statusCheck whether an asynchronous Glide table job has finished, and read its result or its error.
  • Get rowRead one row of a Big Table by its row id, returned under body.data keyed by the table's own column ids.
  • Import table from URLCreate a Big Table from a CSV or TSV file that Glide downloads itself from a URL you give it, inferring the schema from the file.
  • List rowsRead a page of rows from one Big Table.
  • List tablesList every Glide Big Table the connection's team owns, as body.data[] entries carrying the table's uuid id and its display name.
  • Overwrite tableDestructiveReplace everything in an existing Big Table: every current row is cleared and the rows sent here take their place, optionally under a new schema.
  • Stash rowsUpload one chunk of rows into a stash, so a dataset larger than a single request can be assembled and then landed atomically by glide:createtable, glide:overwritetable or glide:addrows with the same Stash id.
  • Update rowDestructiveChange some cells of one row in a Big Table.
