Egnyte
Egnyte is a file platform for businesses: shared and private folders, versioned files, share links and a user directory, all under one company domain such as acme.egnyte.com.
Authentication
- OAuth 2.0
Actions
Generic API request. Call any Egnyte API endpoint on this connection, for the case where no shipped action covers it yet. The connection supplies the base URL, the authentication and the egress route, so only the path, query and body are yours to fill.
- Copy file or folderCopy a file or a folder with everything under it to another path, leaving the original in place — to seed a new project from a template folder or keep a snapshot of a document.
- Create folderCreate a folder at an absolute path, for example to give each new customer or project its own folder before uploading into it.
- Create share linkCreate a share link to a file or folder, or an upload link that lets people drop files into a folder — to send a document to someone outside the domain, collect files from a client, or email a link to a list of recipients.
- Delete file or folderDestructiveDelete a file or a folder with everything under it, by path.
- Delete share linkDestructiveRevoke a share or upload link so its URL stops working immediately — to withdraw access after a deal closes or a link was sent to the wrong person.
- Download fileDownload a file's content by path so a later step can parse, convert, attach or re-upload it.
- Get file or folderRead one file's or folder's details by path without listing its contents: for a file its size, checksum, version id (entryid), file id (groupid) and who uploaded it; for a folder its folderid and settings.
- Get share linkRead one share link's settings by id — its URL, target path, type, who can open it, expiry and last access — to check a link before resending or revoking it.
- Get userRead one Egnyte user by numeric id — their username, email, name, whether they are active or locked, how they sign in and whether they are an admin, power or standard user.
- Get user infoRead who this connection acts as: the Egnyte user the OAuth token was issued to, with their numeric id, username and name.
- List folderList the files and subfolders directly inside one Egnyte folder — the way to browse the file system and to find the path or id of something before reading, moving, sharing or deleting it.
- List share linksList the share and upload links the connected user can see, with each link's URL, target path, who can open it and when it expires — to audit what has been shared, find the link already made for a document, or pick a link to revoke.
- List usersList the users of the Egnyte domain, or look one up by exact username, email or external id with filter — to map a person to their Egnyte account, audit who is active, or find the numeric id egnyte:getuser takes.
- Move file or folderDestructiveMove or rename a file or folder by giving its current path and the full path it should have afterwards — to file an upload into its final folder, archive a finished project, or rename something in place.
- Search files and foldersFind files and folders anywhere in the domain by name, content, comments or custom metadata, optionally limited to one folder tree or a modification window — the way to locate a document when you do not know its folder.
- Upload fileUpload content to a path in Egnyte, creating the file or adding a new version when a file already exists there — the action to reach for whenever a workflow has bytes (a generated report, a downloaded attachment) that must end up in Egnyte.
