Discord
Discord is a servers-and-channels chat platform.
Authentication
- Bot token
- OAuth 2.0
Actions
Generic API request. Call any Discord API endpoint on this connection, for the case where no shipped action covers it yet. The connection supplies the base URL, the authentication and the egress route, so only the path, query and body are yours to fill.
- Add reactionAdd the bot's own reaction to a Discord message — a lightweight way to acknowledge a request or signal an outcome without posting.
- Add role to memberDestructiveGrant a Discord role to a member of a server — how an automation promotes a user, unlocks channels, or applies a purchased perk.
- Create channelCreate a channel in a Discord server — for example to open a per-incident or per-customer room.
- Create DM channelOpen a direct-message channel with a user (POST /users/@me/channels).
- Delete messageDestructiveDelete a message from a Discord channel — for retracting an automated post or clearing sensitive content.
- Edit messageDestructiveRewrite the text of a message the bot previously sent — the way to keep one status message updated instead of posting repeatedly.
- Get authorization infoRead the OAuth authorization behind this connection: which scopes the person actually granted, when the access token expires, and who consented.
- Get channelFetch one Discord channel by id to read its name, type and the server it belongs to — for example to confirm a channel still exists before posting into it.
- Get current userRead the Discord account that authorized this OAuth connection — the identity every other action on this connection acts as.
- Get guildFetch one Discord server (guild) by snowflake id to read its name, owner and settings — for example to confirm the bot is still installed before acting in it.
- Get my linked-role recordRead the linked-role record this application holds for the connected person — the metadata a Discord server's Linked Roles gate on.
- Get my server membershipRead the connected person's own membership of one server: their roles, nickname, when they joined and whether they are timed out.
- List channel messagesRead the recent messages of a Discord channel — how a workflow ingests conversation history or finds the message id to edit, delete or react to.
- List guild channelsList every channel in a Discord server — text, voice and categories — to resolve the channel id the message actions take.
- List guild membersList the members of a Discord server, to resolve a user id before granting a role or mentioning someone.
- List my linked accountsList the third-party accounts the connected person has linked to Discord — Steam, GitHub, Twitch, Reddit and the rest.
- List server rolesList every role defined in a Discord server, newest position first.
- List serversList the Discord servers (guilds) the connection belongs to — the servers the bot was added to on a Bot token connection, the servers the authorizing person is a member of on an OAuth connection (which needs the guilds scope).
- Send messagePost a message to a Discord channel — the main way a workflow notifies a team.
- Send message via channel webhookPost a message to the channel this OAuth connection was given a webhook for — no bot in the server, no Send Messages permission, no channel id to look up.
- Update my linked-role recordDestructiveRecord what this application knows about the connected person, so a Discord server's Linked Roles can gate on it — this is how a workflow's verdict ("is a paying customer", "has closed 12 tickets") becomes a role somebody actually holds, without the bot touching the server at all.
Triggers
- New channel messageStarts when a new message is posted in the configured Discord channel.
