Bandwidth
Bandwidth is a communications provider: it owns the carrier network your SMS and MMS traffic rides on, and exposes it as an HTTP API.
Authentication
- API key
Actions
Generic API request. Call any Bandwidth API endpoint on this connection, for the case where no shipped action covers it yet. The connection supplies the base URL, the authentication and the egress route, so only the path, query and body are yours to fill.
- Get mediaRetrieve a single stored media descriptor by id (GET /users/{accountId}/media/{mediaId}).
- List mediaList the media files stored against the connected Bandwidth account — the attachments MMS messages are sent with.
- List messagesList the SMS and MMS messages recorded against the connected Bandwidth account, bounded by the optional limit.
- Send messageSend an SMS, or an MMS when media is supplied, from a Bandwidth number through the messaging application that number is linked to.
Triggers
- Message received (webhook)Starts the moment an inbound SMS or MMS message arrives on the connected Bandwidth messaging application, delivered by a webhook instead of polling message history.
- Messages to the numberAnswers as an agent by text: when someone texts a number on the connected Bandwidth messaging application, the agent replies to them from that number.
- New messageStarts when a new SMS or MMS message is sent or received on the connected Bandwidth messaging account.
