Alpaca

Alpaca is a brokerage API — the trading account itself, its open positions, and the orders placed against it — plus a Market Data API for US stock prices.

Authentication

  • API key

Actions

Generic API request. Call any Alpaca API endpoint on this connection, for the case where no shipped action covers it yet. The connection supplies the base URL, the authentication and the egress route, so only the path and query are yours to fill.

  • Get latest quotesGet the latest best bid and ask for several stock symbols in one call, from the Alpaca Market Data API.
  • Get stock barsGet historical OHLC bars for several stock symbols in one call, from the Alpaca Market Data API.
  • Get stock snapshotsGet a snapshot for several stock symbols in one call — latest trade, latest quote, current minute bar, current daily bar and previous daily bar — from the Alpaca Market Data API.
  • List ordersList orders, optionally filtered by status (GET /v2/orders).
  • List positionsList all open positions in the trading account (GET /v2/positions).

Triggers

  • New orderStarts when a new order is submitted in your Alpaca brokerage account, across every order status.
